Printed Circuits Boards & Assemblies United Circuits has two families of In-Circuit Testers, GENRAD and Teradyne. For Functional Testing, we employ the use of most all bench-top test equipment and use either customer supplied or in-house designed test software. Today's communications companies require enhanced RF testing so we utilize Hewlett-Packard equipment to handle GHz frequency products. United Circuits performs component level troubleshooting with the use of digital storage oscilloscopes and other IEEE controlled equipment.
Cable Operations United Circuits Cable Operations quality is to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards. All cable assemblies are 100% tested using a Cirris 1100H+ computerized test station. Cables are tested for opens, continuity, capacitance, resistance, and hi-potential. (Hi-Pot) is selective from 50VDC to 1,000VDC based upon customer requirements, and the dwell time is selective from 0.1 second to 60 seconds. United Circuits custom builds test fixtures to interface with the tester using actual mating connectors to assure simulated field function. A copy of the test results is printed out for each unit and shipped to our customer to certify process results. Every cable assembly is associated with a shop traveler for traceability, a work process describing operation description, tooling required and tool settings, a quality audit inspection form for accumulation and measurement of quality data.
